I really want to join the LP this week. That’s why I’m here! Lol!
And here’s my entry..
Only here in the Philippines will you see this kind of scene.

“Mandarame” as they call the penitents in Pampango dialect.
This ritual is being practiced every year during holy week in Pampanga, Philippines. A painful practice that’s usually done to show to the public (and to God) their repentance. The “mandarame” prick their skin at the back with a blade or broken glass and strike their back with a sharp whisk to gush blood from it.
I can say that this ritual is now being recognized internationally and many tourists usually visit the Philippines (specifically at Brgy. Cutud ) to see this yearly event.
More litratong pinoy here.

This is the bridge near our office. I shot this photo a while ago after we’ve taken our lunch.

This is actually a newly renovated bridge going to the mega dike dam. Maybe some of you may ask what a mega dike is? Well, remember the Mt. Pinatubo eruption last 1991? Lahar and mudflows gushed thru the lakes and rivers of Pampanga, Philippines that caused many towns to vanish literally. Mega dike was then constructed to prevent anything so hideous like that to happen again.

Anyways, see this second photo? Sad to say the waterway underneath the bridge is full of garbage! A usual sight in the Philippines. Tsk Tsk..

This week’s theme – GUSALI or BUILDINGS
Here’s my entry for this week.

Actually, these photos are borrowed pics from my boss’s HK and Singapore trip last year. I really don’t have any photos available for this week’s theme that’s why I decided to grab these two and post it here. He was also kind enough to approve my water markings as well. Lol!
Anyways, these are the places that I wanted to go first before I’ll go anywhere else. Why? Because they are Asian countries and based on my boss‘s experience they are one of the coolest shopping havens near the Philippines island.
Anyways, I hope you like my so-called entries and you can view more here.

Finally, I was able to blog and post my entry again for this week’s LP.
Here it is…

This photo was taken last month when we hiked the mountain to Mount Samat (Shrine of Bravery). We we’re inside the cross (the very top of it) when I shot this picture. Such an awesome site isn’t?
This photo truly shows the garden that God has created for us. But the sad thing about it is people tried to destroy this garden. Can you see the bald spot of the mountains?
