I’m soaking wet!

Not because of the beach or my sweat (eww!). I’m wet because of the rain! Yeah, believe it or not, we’re experiencing a rainy summer here in the Philippines in this month of April.  Supposedly, this month should be the peak of the summer heat but apparently this year seems to be the opposite.

Hmm… could this be an effect of the worsening global warming? Gosh! I bet it is and it really concerns me now. Actually more people are, scientists are sounding more and more alarms about the fate of the ice caps, the acidification of our oceans, the loss of our equatorial rainforests and the consequences all these things will have on low-lying countries, on our health, on our ways of raising food, and the foundations of our civilization. So, there are definitely more reasons for despair and more ways to do. Like in our own simple ways we can control and manage our waste disposal, plant trees or join a task force on saving the forest or sea etc.

It’s time for us to move and to do something before it’s too late. For our sake and for our children’s sake!
