Yes, you heard it right, but only chocolate is taken in modest amounts.

A study reported in the prestigious British Medical Journal suggests that people who regularly eat chocolate candy live up to a year longer than those who deprive themselves.
The study looked at the 1998 health records of 7,841 men, who entered Harvard as undergraduates between 1916 and 1950. And it found that people who ate modest amounts of candy bars, from one to three a month, had a 36 percent lower risk of death than those who abstained.
The researchers say that antioxidant phenols in the chocolate portion are responsible for the added longevity. They say the amount of phenols in a 1.5 ounce chocolate bar is about the same as in a glass of red wine.
So, what are waiting for? Take a bite - just a bit ha!

I think some of you know that Asbestos exposure in general can cause a very dangerous form of lung cancer called Mesothelioma to people who has been exposed to it in a very long time.
This is especially true to manufacturing companies who used Asbestos as part of their raw materials in manufacturing their product. That’s why it is best for people who work in such companies to be fully equipped in terms of their health and safety. This is where a Mesothelioma Lawyer should enter. You might ask why?
Well, for the benefit of the people who work in such dangerous workplace. Some manufacturers know the dangers of their employees that’s why they give them compensations and other benefits to hire employees but sometimes they get bankrupt leaving the workers zero money and positive of the cancer. A Mesothelioma lawyer help stabilized everything, from the benefit of the both parties to assurance that people need in times of trouble.
Good thing, such professional exists!

I love eating …

~ oat cookies ~
Oat cookies are said to be very nutritious. Not only that they help lower bad cholesterol, they are also very good for diabetic and health conscious peeps or those people that are on a diet.
Now, even though I’m not on the cut-back, I make it a habit to buy 2 to 4 cookies a week as part of my goal of cutting off toxins out of my body and eliminating the bad thingies that those “flavored fries” has left behind. Lol! {Remember my post on my unhealthy addiction? This is my way of reversing it. lol! }
I bought this at Oat Brand Store {Nutree Vida Foods}, a local bread shop near our place. Other than cookies they also have some munchkins and breads that are made of oats. Each cookie costs P25.00.
I’m actually eating one right now. Hmmm.. yumyum,.. They are really yummy, swear!

I’m currently addicted to this:

Yeah, I just lurrveeee fries, especially those with Sour Cream powder on it! I don’t really know why? Well, I know they’re just ordinary fries with powder on it but somehow there is something in it that catches my tang. I think I almost have it every other day or every time I go the mall (which is almost everyday!lol!). It is somewhat my hunger reliever nowadays, especially after office hours.
But the bad thing about this addiction is- these stuffs are too unhealthy!
As far as I remember, french fries are one of the main causes of cancer. Whew! That’s why I’m wary that I might have it if I don’t stop now! Urgh! Help! Sometimes I really hate myself for having insufficient self-control.
Need to stop my cravings asap!

I’m awfully tired today. I woke up with a heavy head, baggy eyes, toothache and an aching abdomen. Ouch!
Aj didn’t sleep well again, though his fever had subsided, he still complains about his itchy throat and gums. I think its phlegm and a tooth rupture again. He’s always like this when his tooth bursts. He usually has coughs, fever and sometimes some loose bowel movement. I think that’s normal, right? And being a tired mom is more than usual than his fever.
But what really pulls me down is “ME’ being sick too!
Just like today, I woke up from a 5 hour sleep with a toothache and a dysmenorrhea pa! Hay.. Que horror! But of course I need to be a mother and a wife, so even with aching tooth and a heavy head I was still on my feet to nurse Aj with my full might. Good thing my hubby was kind enough to assist me with Aj and didn’t demand any favor or service in return. Thanks hubby!
Oh! I just hope my baby will gets well soon and me too… ouch!

Menstruation for me was always a bliss before I got pregnant. I didn’t have any painful dysmenorrhea or whatsoever that regular ladies experience whenever they got the red thing up. But after giving birth to Aj and had my first period, I felt something different and uncommon.
First day of menstruation was normal as usual, but when the 3rd or the 4th day comes {which should be like the last day of my period, so I should not feel any pain right?}, something painful strikes me and every time that happens I passed out some clot of blood{ a little lang naman}. The pain lasts about 5-10 minutes but what really bothers me is that the pain only comes from the left side of my abdomen- or I think the pain comes from my left ovary. This incident does not really happen every month {as far as I remember ha} and the pain only happens once every period and only a few minutes.
So, what do you think?

I was really touched when Edz tagged me with a meme about a prayer on Lupus and Cancer patients.
I think most of you don’t know but my mom has this condition called SLE – Systemic Lupus Erythematosus also known as “LUPUS” (a lifetime condition). She was diagnosed with this illness last 2002, but have been experiencing symptoms of it since 1995. Btw, my mom got this illness because of STRESS and not because of her genes.
I can still remember then, I was in 3rd year highschool when my mom was rushed to the hospital because of severe weakness. At the hospital, doctors had a hard time determining her sickness. They were also surprised when my mom’s blood count abruptly drops after a transfusion. The doctor even told my dad “na parang may sumisipsip sa dugo niya”. So, when they said that my dad decided to transfer him to Children’s Medical Center, now known as Dr.Fe Del Mundo Hospital.
That hospital really saved my mom’s life. The doctors there specialize on blood diseases like Leukemia and all sorts, that’s why they knew what to do when they saw my mom. She was then diagnosed with Hemolytic Anemia.
After that, all was well. Her doctors said it’s not life-threatening so they gave us some instruction on how to maintain my mom’s health. Years after, my mom experienced some symptoms that are unusual for anemia patients. That was the time when her doctors start testing her on “LUPUS”. She was negative for several years, but became positive by 2002.
When I was younger I linked the term “LUPUS” as the dreadful disease that killed former Pres. Marcos. But when my mom was diagnosed with the disease, it wasn’t that dreadful after all, maybe because we accepted it freely with a slightly broken heart. And good thing, her doctors oriented us with the disease and told us that it’s up to us on how to make things healthy. And because they also told me that the former President didn’t die on Lupus, he died from its complications.
Now it’s 2008 and as expected my mom had some complications. She had Diabetes last year and just recently had “Lupus Vasculitis” – the inflammation of small blood vessels. Vasculitis is not life threatening because it only affects the small blood vessels of our body. But as proven by my mom, this complication is painful. Hay, if only God can grant me one wish in my whole lifetime, I would definitely wish for my mom’s health to be close to perfect!
Though we’re still thankful that my mom’s doing fine even though she’s burden with these complications.
Hay, life! You’ll never know what in store for you in the future.
This is a very lazy day for me. I know it’s the start of the week and I have to make it like uber fruitful so that the rest of the days within this week will continue having “the Monday vibes”.
But what can I do, “tinatamad talaga ako”, especially that the weather is very gloomy because of the nimbus clouds all over the sky! Lol!
Then, other than my “katamaran”, I feel so sleepy din, why? Well, Aj has been crying the whole night because of his cough. (Kainis! Nasobrahan sa swimming!). Now, the mini pool has been disposed by my hubby and is now officially stored at our storage room! Lol, sinisi ba ang pool!
Fyi, here’s my post on Aj’s first splash in his mini-swimming pool.
Haay, I just hope Aj feels a lot better now and that we’ll have a good night sleep this evening.

Me and my hubby loves tea so much that we have almost live ¼% of our life span drinking teas.
As for me, I really drink tea almost everyday, in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon or in late evenings or just anytime of the day when I feel stressed out. I always feel this refreshing & relaxing feeling every time I have one. I don’t know why? But tea just gives me this invigorating sensation that puts me on the mood.
Especially that I’m a working mom in a Big Manufacturing Company and have been working as an Accountant and an Administrative Officer for seven years. Well, to add up to my demanding line of work is I only have one day rest from work, which is Sunday. So from Monday to Saturday I was always exposed to numbers and some decision making tasks every hour of the day. Whew! A revitalizing drink will definitely serve as a stress buster.
My favorite of tea of them all is this White Pear Tea. Have you ever heard of this White Tea? Well, if not, you better read what I’m going to say.
White Tea comes from the bud of the plant rather than the leaf and is, like Green Tea, unfermented. The buds are withered and air dried producing a light, clean and slightly sweet cup of tea. White pear tea includes very delectable and healthy ingredients of Silver Needle Tea and Tribute Eyebrow which add to its innovative flavor. It’s really a revolutionary tea that has the highest amount of antioxidants so it can surely give you that uplifting jive that you need!
White Pear Tea has a variety of packages that suits everyone’s personal needs and taste. They have White Pear Tea in T-Mini travel tin w/ 16 Count Refill, White Pear Tea 20 Pyramid Infusers in foil wraps, White Pear Tea 16 single cup Infusers, White Pear Tea T-Mini travel tin, White Pear Tea 30 individually boxed Infusers.

I personally love the 30 individually boxed Infusers. Why? Because it’s very yummy plus it has this smoothest blend of white tea, slivers of sweet pears and natural pear. It definitely gets me going anytime! Well, other than its antioxidants, its ingredients are definitely the purest and least processed which is best for people who really wants to live a very healthy lifestyle.
So why not try this now! I assure you, it’s definitely not like those ordinary teas that we see in the market. So, if you are tea addict like me and want to experience a new tea sensation you got to grab one of these and enjoy living healthy!
